This program was developed specifically for CSHM Members who are owners of vintage and classic snowmobiles and is endorsed by CSHM. Coverage provides for "all-risks" on a Floater type policy with no deductions for depreciation. Each unit to be insured must be appraised by a certified Appraiser who is approved by the insurance company. The cost of the appraisal is to be borne by the sled owner. Any claims will be subject to a deductible of 10% of appraised value with a minimum deductible of $50 and a maximum of $250.

Applicants to this program who are not members may apply for this insurance however will be surcharged $20.

Terms under this program are not intended to cover sleds while engaged in any speed test or endurance test, racing activity, or when this sled is required to be licensed. The original Master Policy is held on file at CSHM and official certificates for subscribers will be issued and mailed to them by us.

Each sled to be insured must be appraised before insurance is written, then again every 3 years. To acquire an appraisal you must submit a complete description of the sled(s) along with five colour photos of each; one for each side, the front, the back and the engine compartment. The cost is $35 per unit.
